Every dish is crafted with care, every cocktail expertly mixed, and every visit feels like an invitation to savor the best of Manchester's vibrant food scene.
Cool place, great food. We had the special pizza - steak, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, provolone, mozzarella, and red sauce - it was delicious. The drinks are a reasonable pour, and a reasonable price.
Nice place, good food, good service, It would be nice if they had extended hours of service. They have Al fresco dining too which is nice.
Great American Fare In a Historic Building A great first experience at the crown. The food here is excellent, there is no doubt about that. What really brings this place to life is the setting. The old crown theatre revived into a restaurant with a stunning interior. It feels as if you have stepped back into the first half of the 20th century. Although the menu is limited, it makes up for it in quality and uniqueness. The Veal Holstein with spätzle is now one of my favorite dishes in Manchester. The Bolognese my girlfriend ordered had the quality of an upscale Italian restaurant. Also one of the largest drink menus I have come across in Manchester. The whiskey menu is extensive.
Absolutely fantastic food with an extensive wine selection and lots of cocktails. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Solid menu and ambiance.
Took my husband for his 70 birthday. We sat on the patio as it was a beautiful evening. The waiter was exceptional. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Specifically there was a dish on the appetizer menu with fresh mozzarella, baked apples, walnuts and arugula. The waiter suggested we order a bread with it and we asked him to pick what he thought would go best. He brought us a fresh baked Pita bread still puffed with air. The combination of all these fresh ingredients wrapped up in the warmth of the fresh thin pita bread was an experience everyone must have. I know I will be back.
We really enjoyed our time at the Crown Tavern. The atmosphere is definitely more upscale for the area, but still laid back. The service was wonderful, and we were seated promptly even though we were early for our reservation. The burrata appetizer was delicious as was the pear and blue salad. My husband had the special, Delmonico steak, while I had the flat iron, both were cooked as ordered, seasoned well, and presentation was appeasing.
A coworker recommended this place while here on a business trip. 10/10 recommend. We had the salmon, meat balls and Manhattans. Everything was very delicious and the service was wonderful. I had already started to enjoy the food when I remembered to snap a picture.
After the Queen tribute at Palace we decided to try the crown tavern. It’s a very nice spot we got there pretty early luckily for us. Got a nice table by the window. Although the menu is limited the selections were excellent. A little pricey, 1/2 doz oysters are $19. Wife had a nice Chardonnay I had a very good red sangria it had hints of peach, very refreshing. For eats we had 2 salads the chicken tender appetizer and I had the flank steak, wifey also had the butternut squash bisque, definitely a must have. The flank steak was almost fork tender and juicy, ordered it medium so the meat tenderizes but still very juicy. Michael was our server, he was very helpful and in point with delivery and suggestions. Definitely consider stopping in if you’re in the area or after a show at the Palace!! Only gave 4 stars because the menu is limited but everything was fabulous. Cheers.
